Join us for the Ohm Radio x The Refinery Block Party! Celebrate 11 years of community radio with an afternoon of live music, local art, creative experiences, and family-friendly fun across The Refinery campus.
Enjoy performances by New Dirty Shoes, Nick Matthews, and Campbell & Sons, along with a live broadcast from Ohm Radio hosted by our own, Luvie Smith throughout the day.
Explore activations across the property, including a community skiff painting led by Kaliana Arts courtesy of Lowcountry Maritime School, a creative reuse clothing swap and art supply courtesy of our friends at Second Life Supply, live screen-printing experience with Second Life Supply, plus art supplies available for purchase to support their mission of keeping creative materials in circulation and out of local landfills.
Meet animal ambassadors from the South Carolina Aquarium, visit Cara Fischer's Tiny Zoo, browse local vendors including Eye Land Studio, and discover even more community partners throughout the day.
Come hungry—Loulou's will be serving brunch and dinner, PubFare will be slinging burgers and fries, The Whale will be pouring cold beverages, and additional food vendors and community partners will be announced soon.
With something happening around every corner of The Refinery campus, there's something for everyone. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

OHM RADIO is Charleston’s first community, commercial-free radio station! We have been on the air 24/7 Since August 1, 2015. Ohm Radio will broadcast music by local, independent, and legendary artists. We’ll spread the good word about what local entrepreneurs, non-profits, and social groups are doing to enhance our community. We will unite Charleston’s diverse community of voices with original and creative programming.
The Meaning Behind Our Name
In physics, an OHM is a unit of resistance, and this OHM Radio campaign is about resisting corporate “piped-in” radio and promoting local, noncommercial radio that is genuine, relevant, and reflects who we are as a community.
